Strength For Rural Life!
Practical thinking tools for rural people navigating pressure, uncertainty, change, and the realities of rural life.
Chris “Rhino” Swenson brings more than 20 years of experience working alongside people through some of life’s hardest moments to keynotes, workshops, and conversations for rural communities, organizations, conferences, schools, and teams.
This isn’t about giving people another motivational speech they’ll forget by the time they get home. Chris teaches practical Thinking Tools—simple ideas, stories, and analogies designed to help people think more clearly, navigate life’s challenges, and continue doing the work they love and living the life that matters to them—for the long haul.

BUILT FOR RURAL COMMUNITIES
Rhino Resilience works with organizations that serve the people carrying the everyday responsibilities of rural life—from agriculture and education to healthcare, leadership, first response, faith communities, and beyond.
SIGNATURE RHINO RESILIENCE EXPERIENCE
Rural life asks a lot of people. Responsibility, uncertainty, pressure, change, and the expectation to keep going can become part of everyday life.
Strength for the Long Haul isn’t designed to simply give people more information about resilience. Chris combines practical Thinking Tools, memorable stories, real-life experience, humor, reflection, and moments that invite people to see themselves—and what they’re carrying—a little differently.
Audiences don’t just learn what resilience means. They experience lessons they can recognize in their own lives: when to keep pushing, when something needs to change, when to bring backup, and how to reconnect with who they are and what they’re fighting for.
The goal is simple: leave people with something they can remember, feel, and use long after the event is over—so they can continue doing the work they love and living the life that matters to them for the long haul.
Every audience carries something different. Chris adapts the stories, experiences, and Thinking Tools around the people in the room—while preserving the larger journey of helping people recognize what they’re carrying, find what matters, and leave with something they can actually use.

MEET CHRIS “RHINO” SWENSON
Chris “Rhino” Swenson is a Licensed Therapist, speaker, and founder of Rhino Resilience. For more than 20 years, he has worked alongside people navigating pressure, adversity, change, relationships, mental health challenges, and the realities of everyday life.
His work is deeply rooted in rural communities. Rather than bringing people another academic lecture about resilience, Chris translates decades of clinical experience, real-life lessons, and the wisdom of rural life into practical Thinking Tools people can understand, remember, and use when life gets real.
His approach is straightforward: respect the strength people already carry, help them recognize when the old way isn’t working, and give them practical ways to adapt, recover, and keep moving forward.
Whether he’s speaking with farmers and ranchers, educators, first responders, healthcare professionals, community leaders, or young people, Chris’s goal remains the same: leave people stronger than he found them—and better equipped for the long haul.
